Soil and Water Conservation Districts are a critically important resource in the Commonwealth regarding the implementation of science-based, research proven, nonpoint source programs to help accomplish water quality improvement goals established by the General Assembly and the Administration. Districts have proven to be the most cost-effective means of accomplishing these water quality goals and require adequate funding to support these efforts. Ensure budget conferees are aware of this important work and investing at needed levels.
