Action Alert: Tell Congress to Protect Our Health, Hands Off TSCA
At a time when industry is introducing a revolving door of harmful chemicals with little to no environmental review, we should be strengthening our environmental protections, not weakening them. The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), our nation’s primary law for protecting people from dangerous chemicals, is under attack.
The chemical industry is lobbying Congress to roll back protections we won in 2016 that made it possible for the EPA to:
Ban dangerous chemicals like asbestos, TCE, and methylene chloride.
Require safety review before new chemicals enter the market.
Better protect families from harmful chemical exposures.
Current proposals would make it easier for dangerous chemicals to reach the market, make it harder to ban chemicals linked to cancer, infertility, Parkinson’s disease, and other serious health harms and limit states’ ability to protect their residents from toxic exposures.
Tell Congress: Protect Our health. Don’t Weaken TSCA.
We believe every family deserves protection from toxic chemicals in the products we use, the food we eat, and the water we drink.
The semiconductor industry uses hundreds of hazardous chemicals, requiring strong environmental protections to protect the health of neighbors and workers. We need to defend our chemical safety laws.
Congress could begin rolling back our nation’s chemical safety law as early as July 15, 2026. Take action today by contacting your lawmakers.
