Protect Our Kids - The Consequences of Dismantling Federal Education Funding
The U.S. Department of Education plays a vital role in ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has access to quality education. It provides funding for schools, supports students with disabilities, enforces educational equity, and helps set academic standards to keep the nation competitive. Without strong federal oversight, many students could be left behind, and schools might struggle to provide necessary resources.
Ending support for federal education programs in PA public schools would mean:
- Eliminating funding for low-income children in rural, suburban and urban areas.
- No services for kids with disabilities denying them their right to a free and appropriate education.
- Gutting career and technical education programs.
- Cutting access to Pell Grants (financial aid awards that help low-income students pay for college)
- Reducing the budget of Neshaminy School District by at least $1.2 million dollars
Show your support for public education by writing to your congressional representatives. Ask them to advocate for policies that support students, teachers, and schools nationwide.
Send a letter to Congress right now and tell them: No cuts to education!
