Protect over 350,000 Haitian Refugees from Deportation >>
In a 6–3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration can strip Temporary Protected Status from more than 350,000 Haitians… and that no court is allowed to stop it.
With the courts out of the picture, Congress is the only protection these families have left.
These are people who came here after the 2010 earthquake and built their lives by the rules. Nearly a third work in elder care, feeding and bathing our parents and grandparents; others staff our hospitals, nursing homes, and factories. Sending them back to a country the State Department says is too dangerous for Americans to visit is a death sentence. Tearing them from communities they've belonged to for more than a decade is a betrayal of everything this country claims to be.
The House already did its part, passing H.R. 1689 with bipartisan support. The Senate companion bill, S. 4814, is written and ready, with 19 senators signed on… but we need to build grassroots pressure to get it to the floor.
Tell your Senators: Protect Haitian Refugees from the Trump Administration’s Deportation Regime!
