Protect Virginia's Elections— Before It's Too Late

Election Protection 2026
Ask your legislators to immediately request a Virginia Election Protection Gap Analysis while there is still time to act before the November 2026 General Election.

Background

Virginia has important election protections in place. However, the question is whether those laws address every possible election interference scenario before the November 2026 General Election.

Time is running out to answer that question.

Early voting begins on September 18th, leaving only a limited window for Virginia's legal and election experts to determine whether any targeted statutory improvements are warranted.

If Virginia's existing laws already provide sufficient protection, a formal legal review will strengthen public confidence heading into the election.

If the review identifies statutory gaps, there is still time for the General Assembly to enact targeted safeguards before voting begins—but only if the review starts immediately.
Every week of delay reduces the Commonwealth's options.
That is why we are asking members of the General Assembly to request an immediate review by the Division of Legislative Services (DLS). This request is intended to determine whether Virginia's current laws already provide sufficient protection or whether any targeted statutory improvements should be considered before the November 2026 General Election.
