Tell the PSCAA We Don't Want Puget Sound Energy's Fracked Gas Project
We here in Tacoma believe another future is possible - one powered by renewable energy and providing a safe environment and climate for all. We also believe in truth and transparency. That is why we are opposing Puget Sound Energy's Liquefied Natural Gas refinery, storage and distribution facility being built in our port. They tried to sneak it in, but when that failed they hit us with an avalanche of green washing and misleading information. But we know the truth - it is bad for us, bad for Tacoma, and bad for the climate.
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) is reviewing the climate impacts of this project and have released their draft study (an SEIS, or Supplement Environmental Impact Statement) on its climate impacts. It is our duty now to ask the right questions to strengthen this study and make sure the PSCAA never issues an operating permit to Puget Sound Energy.
