Rady Children's Hospital: Support Patient care, Support Nurses
Over 1,600 dedicated nurses at Rady Children's Hospital, represented by UNOCH Teamsters Local 1699, are set to go on strike to protest the company's unfair labor practices.
These nurses, who provide exceptional care to our community's most vulnerable children, are facing a financial crisis. Despite living in the most expensive city in the country, many nurses are struggling to make ends meet, earning up to 28% less than their counterparts at other hospitals. To make matters worse, nurses report paying up to $1,000 a month for healthcare premiums, further eroding their wages.
This strike is about more than wages; it's about patient care and the well being of our children. The hospital's disregard for its nurses is leading to the loss of experienced professionals, putting patient care at risk.
Tell Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego to support patient care and deliver a fair contract for our nurses.
