On November 6th, 2025 AU SJP was notified by the Office of the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students that they had been placed on suspension until November 6th, 2027, on top of the cease and desist and interim suspension they were already subjected to since March of 2025.

In light of the escalated genocide of the Palestinian people and AU's existing and growing ties to the genocidal Zionist entity, AU's continued relentless attempts to silence and repress student voices is despicable. SJP has done nothing but expose these ties and bring to light the atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.

Using targeted policies to repress students protesting their University's complicity in genocide while allowing other organizations to spew Islamophobia and racism on this campus exposes the true nature of this institution. AU does not care for its students or their voices, it only cares about their own self interest and the systems they are meant to protect and uphold, violent imperialism and Zionism.

The contradictions between what AU allows and does not allow students to speak out against is hypocritical and sets a dangerous precedent for all student organizations fighting for justice on campus.
