Reject CPV Valley's Title V Application: Order it to Shutdown: Comment 2

Dear Friends and Supporters:
Thanks to your efforts the DEC has agreed to extend the comment period by 15 days, to March 25th, 5:00pm. This. gives us some extra time but not a lot of time. The clock is ticking. We must get more than a 1000 letters to DEC and Governor Hochul to make sure the notorious CPV Valley Fracked-Gas plant #BuiltOnBribes is shuttered once and for all. If you don't know what CPV is please see below. If you already know, please sign and share this letter, which will be sent to DEC Commissioner Sean Mahar and Governor Kathy Hochul.
Background info! After letting the notorious CPV Valley fracked-gas power plant #BuiltOnBribes operate for 7 years now with no federal Clean Air Act Title V permit, the NYSDEC DEC is going to issue a final determination as to whether the plant will get shut down once and for all or will be given a permit to continue to pollute, harming people, pets, wildlife, and the climate. The DEC recently held a virtual public hearing and 100% of all speakers asked for the rejection of the permits. Dozens of residents spoke of adverse health impacts. The most heartbreaking was this one.
What is CPV? CPV is a massive 650 MW fracked-gas plant in Orange County, N.Y. dependent on 150 fracking wells per a year. It was built in a critical environmental area, over 85% wetlands and a sole source aquifer, in a protected agricultural district and on an indigenous burial ground. It should never have been permitted and would not have been but for a criminal bribery scheme that landed a company executive and high level state official in prison. The people of Orange County NY in the famed Black Dirt region are demanding that it be shut down.
