Today is the full council meeting -- October 4.
Stay tuned for our work on design review, historic preservation & more.
Come to our upcoming meetings & events -- check out Share The Cities Action Fund & Community Education on eventbrite, twitter, facebook & instagram.
Thanks to everyone that gave public comment in July on Neighborhood Residential name change --- September 22 and 24 are the next time public comment is needed. It isn't urgent on those days but we want a big turnout when it goes to full council.
“Big changes are underway to right historical wrongs, and we can’t rebuild Seattle in a day or with one piece of legislation, but this one piece of legislation is absolutely a critical launching pad for starting the substantive changes we want to see. We need to rally behind 'Neighborhood Residential' so that we can rally against the apartment bans. We need the city council to pass this legislation and all the inclusive changes that eventually follow.”

In addition to zoning changes there will be many important changes that have to happen to make our city more equitable, welcoming and climate-friendly. We also recommend you read the Disaster Gentrification report from Multicultural Community Center Coalition, Puget Sound Sage, and the Rainier Beach Action Coalition. Finally, please check out this panel discussion with community members and CM Morales & CM Mosqueda.
