The Trump administration is trying to eclipse solar energy, but we don’t have to let that darkness take hold in Austin. For decades, the City of Austin has supported the deployment of rooftop solar. Now, renewed commitment and leadership are needed to adapt to rapid and unfavorable changes.

Austin Energy needs to follow through on its commitment to the Solar Standard Offer programs. The Solar Standard Offer is intended to facilitate rooftop solar development without requiring the property owner to make the investment.

These are common-sense programs our city needs. Contact the mayor and city council and demand they support local solar.
