Save the Burton Park Tennis and Basketball Courts

We need your help to convince the City of San Carlos not to remove the tennis and basketball courts in Burton Park!
The City is considering revisions to Burton Park as part of process to update park amenities across San Carlos. The City has proposed three options for changes to Burton and other parks. Unfortunately, one of these three options - "Burton Park - Option 1" - would remove the three tennis courts and one full-length basketball court in Burton Park . The other two options, "Burton Park - Option 2" and "Laureola Park" - would keep Burton Park's current tennis and basketball courts. "Burton Park - Option 2" would add additional pickleball courts to meet heightening demand and alleviate pressure on other tennis courts. You can find more info on the process here.
Removing the Burton tennis courts would be another thorn in the side of the San Carlos tennis community, which recently saw the loss of tennis courts in Highlands Park (through conversion to pickleball courts). The Burton courts are currently very busy, hosting City tennis programs and San Carlos Tennis Club Events throughout the year.
Please use this tool to write to the City Council and Parks Commission, asking them to reject "Burton Park - Option 1" and instead choose an option that would maintain current tennis and basketball capacity at Burton Park.
Thank you!
