A proposed charter school for the New Bedford and Fall River region will have a devastating impact on district public schools. The Innovators Charter School is seeking to enroll up to 735 students in grades 6 to 12. This school would siphon millions of dollars from traditional public schools and undermine the opportunities available to the vast majority of students living in New Bedford, Fall River and surrounding communities from which the charter will draw its students.
