Pennsylvania kept its promise to our kids. Let's say thank you.

For the third year in a row, lawmakers in both parties came together to invest in Pennsylvania's public school students. The 2026-27 state budget directs $565 million in adequacy and tax equity payments to the districts most affected by decades of underfunding, plus $50 million more through the Basic Education Funding formula and $50 million more for special education.

This funding is already changing what's possible in classrooms across the Commonwealth — smaller class sizes, stronger reading and math support, more counselors and social workers, and expanded career and technical programs. PA Schools Work's new report, The Impact of Pennsylvania's Adequacy Supplement, shows the difference these dollars are making in districts from rural communities to older suburbs to our biggest cities.

Lawmakers who voted for this budget need to hear that their constituents noticed — and that we're counting on them to keep going until every district has what students need. Take 30 seconds to send a personal thank-you to your legislators.
