As the Senate is poised to take up farm bill activity, we are urging the Senate Ag Committee to include the American Beef Labeling Act of 2025 (S. 421) in the next Farm Bill.

Right now, cattle producers are being forced out of business because a handful of multinational corporations are manipulating cattle markets. Because powerful meatpackers have manipulated the system, beef and pork are the only products that don’t require a Mandatory Country-of-Origin Label (MCOOL), leaving our ranchers without a competitive market, and consumers being misled.

There is strong and growing support for restoring transparent, enforceable country-of-origin labeling.
