Tell the SF Board of Supervisors: We oppose unnecessary layoffs.

Send a digital letter to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors on the Budget and Appropriations Committee. Together, we are sending a clear message: "Not in my city! We oppose unnecessary layoffs."

Instead of moving forward a budget that would lay off more than 100 filled positions, The City can:
  • Cut further from the $5.2 billion yearly spending on contracts outside of San Francisco. Only 6% of awarded contract dollars go back to our local economy.
  • Tap into the nearly $1 billion in reserves. City reserves exist for moments like this.
  • Pressure Airbnb to pay their taxes. The money is there to protect all of our jobs.

This is the budget Airbnb wants. City workers cannot be stretched thinner, while big tech corporations get a free pass. Write to show up for our communities. Our elected officials need to know that when they come for one of us, they come for all of us.
