New research reveals that Portland-based company Sightline Intelligence has been shipping drone technology components to Israeli military contractor Elbit Systems.

Elbit supplies around 85% of Israeli military drones, playing a critical role in Israel’s surveillance, targeting, and massacre of Palestinians in Gaza. Amnesty International has identified Elbit as among the companies “contributing to Israel’s unlawful occupation, genocide or other crimes under international law.”

As the US and Israel escalate illegal wars of aggression against the people of Iran, Lebanon, and the entire region, companies like Sightline Intelligence provide the technology that enables these crimes. The supply chain runs through Portland.

Sightline’s website emphasizes the use of its technology for “intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance” and AI-assisted target recognition. Promotional videos display drone footage of human beings labeled with indicators like “Armed” and “NoSurrender.” Some footage features recognizable locations in Portland, including the OHSU aerial tram. Is Sightline testing and training this technology on Portlanders without our consent?

We call on city, county, and state officials to investigate Sightline. No to aiding and abetting genocide and war crimes! No to training military tech on Portlanders!
