Spokane County Deserves High Quality Transit

Spokane Transit Authority's operations are primarily funded via voter approved sales taxes, with only 5% of operating revenues coming from fares.

25% of STA's operating revenues are set to expire in 2028 unless voters approve a reauthorization of those sales taxes by the end of 2027.

This means potential frequency cuts, elimination of routes, and abandonment of capital projects like the Division Street Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

STA's Board of Directors is set to decide whether to present voters with the opportunity to renew the expiring sales tax at their April meeting.

Please send the STA Board of Directors a message to let them know how important maintaining and expanding current bus service is to you.

Additionally, there is an opportunity on Thursday, March 19th to speak to the Board directly. Join Spokane Reimagined and other community groups at 1:30 at 1230 W. Boone to voice your support!
