For the last 18 months, a small but mighty group of unionized animation artists, writers, editors and production workers represented by The Animation Guild, IATSE Local 839 and The Editors Guild, IATSE Local 700 and working at Virginia-based Whiteboard Geeks have been in negotiations with the company's owner, Lance Johnson, to establish a fair first contract.

While the union has bargained in good faith to address reasonable needs for these workers, including fair pay, health benefits and other working conditions, including Just Cause, Johnson has refused to take these negotiations seriously and has failed to comply with the National Labor Relations Act.

As such, the workers will be going out on a one-day Unfair Labor Practice Strike on April 23.

Please join us in supporting the workers by sending a letter to Johnson, urging him to immediately cease his unfair labor practices and take all necessary steps to reach a fair agreement that the members can approve.

It is time for Johnson to recognize the dignity and worth of all Whiteboard Geeks animation workers.
