Unifor, Canada’s largest union, has called on Prime Minister Mark Carney to “suspend exports to Israel of any and all arms and military equipment manufactured in Canada. Canada’s participation in a global arms embargo on Israel is the only reasonable course of action to end the genocide in Palestine.”

This is a significant step by a Canadian union representing 320,000 workers across the country. Unifor members must stand in solidarity with Unifor. The message is clear: Canada cannot continue to directly arm a state committing genocide.

Letter 1: Tell Unifor that you support the demand for an arms embargo and an end to the genocide in Gaza.

Letter 2: Write to the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of National Defence to implement an arms embargo. Canada must act now!
