Violence from extremist Israeli settlers has reached unprecedented heights in 2026. Much of the Israeli settler violence that impacts Palestinian communities stems from the network of illegal settler outposts throughout the West Bank, with over 200 new outposts being established since October of 2023 alone. Much of this violence has targeted small villages and communities, making minorities such as Palestinian Christian, Bedouin, refugee, and rural communities, particularly vulnerable.

-The last entirely Christian village in the West Bank, Taybeh, is suffering from extreme violence at the hands of Israeli settlers and Army, as this ancient community faces challenges to remain on their land that they have inhabited for millennia. The village of Taybeh and the surrounding areas, close to both Ramallah and Jerusalem, were declared in August 2026, a closed military zone by the Israeli Army. This followed a years-long campaign of arson, attacks on churches, and violent attacks by Israeli settlers from nearby outposts.

-Meanwhile, outside Bethlehem in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al Makhrour, a Christian family hangs on to ancient farmland that has been in their family for generations, continuing to persevere in the face of settler violence and attempts at forcible displacement.

Urge your Senators and Rep to press the Government of Israel to immediately take action to stop Israeli settler violence, prevent pogroms and further killings, and ensure the protection of Palestinians.
