Tell the Board of Golden Gate Bridge to drop the restitution claim against the #GoldenGate26!
On Tax Day, 2024, Bay Area community members ("GG26") protested on the Golden Gate Bridge for an end to U.S. military aid to Israel. A year later, they are still facing trumped up felony charges and an unprecedented $162,554 restitution claim from the Golden Gate Bridge District.
Because of Bridge District’s high restitution claim, the GG26's charges cannot be lowered or dropped, putting them on the path to trial.This will cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars, far more than the restitution claim itself!
