Stop the layoffs of frontline City of Seattle workers!
TAKE ACTION! Tell Seattle City Council to STOP layoffs to front line PROTEC17 City Workers!
We cannot afford to have our City's budget balanced on the backs of City employees and our communities. It’s time to take collective action together!
If Mayor Bruce Harrell’s budget proposal is passed, dozens of hard-working PROTEC17 represented City workers in the Department of Construction and Inspection, Parks, and more, will be at risk for layoff. PROTEC17 union members, such as Environmental Educators and Land Use Planners, provide critical public services to our communities every day.
We have been making our voices heard with Seattle City Council and Budget Chair Councilmember Dan Strauss who has proposed an amendment to preserve at-risk jobs for an additional 6 months to wait for the April 2025 budget forecast. Show your support for this amendment and advocate to permanently preserve these jobs by sending the letter below!
