🚨 Stop the “Show-Your-Papers” Voter Suppression Rule

America First Legal has petitioned the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to impose a nationwide proof-of-citizenship requirement for voter registration that could stop 21 million Americans from registering to vote.

This dangerous “show-your-papers” policy would block millions of eligible Americans from registering and voting – especially married women and others who’ve changed their names, as well as young people, older voters, voters of color, Indigenous people, and low-income communities who are less likely to have passports or birth certificates with their current name on hand.

The EAC is accepting public comments until October 20, and every voice counts. Take a moment to speak out for voting rights. Click “Start Writing” to submit your official comment today!
