Stop Trump's gag rule on public lands leasing
In late June, the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposed new rules that would reduce public input on fossil fuel leasing on public lands, while leaving taxpayers on the hook for cleanup costs.
Taken together, the two proposals would unwind Biden-era oil and gas leasing reforms and fracked gas rules on roughly 250 million acres of public lands - most of them in California and other Western states.
Trump’s Interior Secretary calls it cutting “red tape” and advancing “American Energy Dominance.” We call it an out and out assault on our climate and communities.
