Stop Trump's plan to roll back the EPA power plant rule
Trump and his Every Polluter Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin want to repeal the rules to fight global warming pollution from power plants.
On the heels of the hottest year on record and major climate disasters like the Los Angeles fires, deadly heat waves, floods, and hurricanes, Trump and his climate denying cronies want to roll back the rules and increase pollution from power plants.
Climate hawks have been instrumental in passing power plant emissions rules for global warming and other pollutants. We fought talon and claw to make these rules as strong as possible because the power sector is America's second largest source of carbon pollution. Only our cars and trucks cause more climate changing emissions, and Trump and Zeldin are also trying to roll back those pollution rules. In addition to devastating climate chaos, this rollback will expose millions of Americans to more smog, soot, and ozone pollution that threatens public health — especially in poor, black, and brown communities.
Trump and Zeldin are pushing to make climate denial the law of the United States. They're attacking more than 30 pollution rules covering everything from clean cars, to breathable air toxics. And underlying all of it, they're attacking the scientific consensus on climate change - that it's real, caused by burning fossil fuels, and threatens our health and safety - through the EPA's "Endangerment Finding."
