UAW members are mobilizing against the Trump administration’s attempt to gain unprecedented control over federal grant funding. Under a proposed set of federal regulations, Trump’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) would be able to deny or cancel more than $1 trillion in annual grants at any time for any reason. The proposal would reshape and weaponize how the Federal government awards and administers all grants and other forms of financial assistance. Comments are due by July 13.
