URGENT: PM Carney is pushing to launch an international War Bank in Canada. We must say no!

Despite its embarrassing launch at the 2026 NATO Summit (when Carney failed to get support from any G7 countries or large NATO members), Carney continues to push for his War Bank. We must make clear to Carney and other elected officials that this is not something Canadians want. It’s time to ramp up our opposition, stop this bank, and send a message to Carney that we reject his war profiteering.

This new financial institution, the first of its kind, is designed to fund and accelerate a global arms race and funnel public money to arms manufacturers.

We say: NO – not in Toronto, not in Canada, not on this planet.

The government has been highly secretive about the details of this bank – the so-called ‘Defence, Security and Resilience Bank’ (DSRB). Plans have been in the works for years now, and Canada recently announced it will host the War Bank’s global headquarters.

The DSRB will use public money and private investments to subsidize arms manufacturing. The aim: a massive military build-up for the long term. In this way, Carney will be able to bypass regulations and public opposition, and continue Canada’s military support for genocide and repressive regimes. We reject this move by Canada to profit from perpetual war in the guise of economic development.
