Students for IL Transit is a student-led campaign dedicated to fighting to protect public transportation all throughout Illinois.

Public transit in Illinois is in a crisis -- the CTA, Metra, and Pace are facing a combined $770,000,000 budget deficit that, if left unresolved, would force heavy concessions, with experts warning of up to 40% cuts in service across the CTA, Metra, and Pace.

That's why we're forming Students for Illinois Transit. As college students, we know how vital public transit is in our day-to-day lives, from getting to class, to work, and even to each other. We're organizing students all across Illinois to demand action from our leaders -- to demand that we prioritize our public transit, end the budget deficit, and commit to sustainable transit statewide.
