Support a study commission and safe reporting for sex workers

The Massachusetts House Ways & Means Committee is considering a bill that would create a commission to study decriminalizing sex work in Massachusetts, H4610: An Act to Study the Decriminalization of Sex Work. Tell them: send it to the House floor for a vote!

Evidence finds that the full decriminalization of sex work is the best policy to support the health and safety of sex workers. This policy has been endorsed by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the ACLU, the World Health Organization, and UNAIDS.

Additionally, we are asking them to add language to another bill that is likely to pass, H1849: An Act Relative to Archaic Laws. The language would enable people to report a crime without fear of arrest for prostitution, drug possession, or related crimes. This would make sex workers safer by enabling them to report if they are assaulted or robbed on the job.
