On August 2 or 3, 2023, the California Building Standards Commission (CBSC) will update the state’s EV charging requirements for new construction. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to urge the Commission, in the next CALGreen Triennial Code update, to ensure that 100% of new apartments and condos with parking get EV Ready charging at the time of construction–when it costs 10-12 times less than as a retrofit.
