Support Fairness for Algoma U Part-Time Faculty

As the instructors for the majority of Algoma University's courses, Part-Time Faculty play a vital role in Algoma’s academic community. They are now bargaining to achieve fairness and recognition for their work and contributions to Algoma's success following unprecedented years of enrolment growth.

Why? Because Part-Time Faculty working conditions directly affect Algoma students’ learning conditions.

Last minute course cancellations, unpredictable employment, and low wages can disrupt students’ access to courses and make it harder to retain experienced instructors.

The Part-Time Faculty unit's bargaining proposals are intended to strengthen stability and continuity for both faculty and students.

Please send an email to the University Senior Administration in support of:

1.   Recognition for cancelled courses, and,

2.   Fair wages that reflect Part-Time Faculty's contributions to Algoma

Supporting a fair collective agreement means supporting the retention of experienced instructors, and the quality of education at Algoma U.
