Support HB3687

From rural manufactured home communities to gentrifying Chicago neighborhoods to suburbs and small cities, working and middle class residents are being priced out and pushed out of our homes by greedy landlords. Nearly a quarter of Illinois renters spend at least half our monthly income on rent.

It's time to take a stand and call on our elected officials to support protections from price-gougers!

The Let the People Lift the Ban Act (HB 3687) lets local voters decide whether their communities can put limits on rents set by price-gouging predatory real estate speculators. It also makes sure all Illinois residents have the same protections enjoyed by Chicagoans right now – including limiting late fees, giving residents more power to push for decent maintenance, and banning landlord retaliation.
