Support Krabbe Newborn Screening in Maryland
Ask Maryland Lawmakers to add Krabbe Disease to the State's Newborn Screening Panel!

Maryland's Lily Smith (9/26/11) was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease in 2012.
Krabbe disease is an inherited fatal disorder that affects the nervous system. If untreated, children with Krabbe suffer greatly and are not expected to live beyond their second birthday.
Life-saving treatment is available, but must be administered before a child is symptomatic to avoid irreversible damage -- early detection through newborn screening for Krabbe and similar diseases is crucial in giving all children a fair chance at life!
Ask your lawmakers to support SB117/HB96 to add Krabbe to Maryland's Newborn Screening Panel.
