The Housing Action Coalition and YIMBY Action are pleased to endorse The Commons project in Monterey Park.

The project will add 64 new homes to a low density area of residential housing near transit and commercial downtown corridors. 15% of the new homes have been reserved as very low-income housing along with a mix unit types in this affordability level and the others in the project. The project is proposing at 25 units an acre, lower than the 30 units an acre allowed, based on community input.

The project also includes 1, 2, 3 bedroom homes from 645 sf up to 1,200 sf and town homes up to 2,000+ sf.
