Support SB 393, the Connecticut Domestic Worker Bill of Rights

Connecticut domestic workers are celebrating victory and a step closer in their campaign for dignity, respect and basic protections on the job. SB 393, the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights, was voted out of committee and is now headed to the Senate!

The bill would ensure workers' compensation, paid time off, protection from sexual harassment and discrimination, and other fundamental safeguards for Connecticut’s domestic workers.

It builds on the momentum of last year’s Connecticut bill SB 446, which successfully extended anti-discrimination and harassment protections to domestic workers. If passed, SB 393 would close exemptions for domestic workers in the state’s workplace laws and establish new crucial and sensible industry-specific protections.

Our work is not yet done -- please contact your Senator today and tell them to support SB 393 when it reaches their desk!
