Currently, Congress inhibits States from eliminating wasteful costs in health care and vastly improving access and coverage.

On November 8, Rep. Ro Khanna of California introduced a bill, H.R.6270, to help states avoid conflict with federal laws governing Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA (Employee Retirement Insurance Security Act), and taxation.

Take Action! Tell Congress not to stand in the way of states that want guaranteed health care for all by passing the State-Based Universal Health Care Act.

The legislation will help states model and build momentum for a national universal health care system, just as Canada did in the 1960s.
