Support the Sacramento Public Bank
Sacramento friends and organizers, we need to move this now.
A public bank is a practical way for the City to save money, lower borrowing costs, and put public dollars back into affordable housing, climate work, and small business support, instead of paying fees to big commercial banks.
The legal path already exists. AB 857, the California Public Banking Act, lets cities create public banks. Other places are already moving, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the East Bay. Sacramento should not sit this out.
Please take a minute to send this letter to the Sacramento City Council. And ask the County to explore a regional public bank that can work alongside a city bank to meet bigger regional needs.
Send it, then share it with a few people who will send it too.
