Academic Letter of Support for Dr. Tom Alter to be Reinstated at TXST, San Marcos
Dear Academic Supporter of Dr. Tom Alter,
Tom Alter is undertaking a formal appeal of his firing from Texas State University, San Marcos. On November 10, a subcommittee of the Texas State University System Board of Regents will meet in preliminary review of his case for appeal. On Nov. 20 and 21, the full Texas State Board of Regents will meet to rule on his appeal.
We need to influence this decision and help Tom win his appeal.
As an academic, we ask that you personalize and send a version of one of the attached letter by listing your title and institution and signing the letter in the areas where the [ ] brackets are placed.
We ask that you send the letter immediately. We need a large-scale pressure campaign on TXST before the November 10th hearing.
We also ask that you telephone each of the numbers below and demand Tom’s reinstatement.
