DSA SF's Electoral Board is organizing this campaign to support Supervisor Jackie Fielder's proposed ordinance to extend the stay of families in shelters to 1 year. Mayor Daniel Lurie and the Department of Homelessness have been enforcing a harmful policy of limiting the stay of families with children to 90 days which is not long enough to secure permanent housing. Please submit a letter to your supervisor in support of families getting to stay sheltered.
