In the final stretch of the South Carolina legislative session, Senator Josh Kimbrell has filed a new anti-LGBTQ+ bill, S.743, essentially a clone of previous versions of the so-called "Parental Bill of Rights," which would put LGBTQ+ youth in harm’s way. It could be heard soon by the Senate Family and Veteran Services committee, and we need to make sure the committee knows that we reject this bill.

This bill would allow parents to opt their children out of any school conversation about LGBTQ+ identity and inclusive health classes. It would impose onerous restrictions on school staffers that amount to curriculum censorship and restrict young people's freedom to learn.

Tell members of the committee: Enough is enough! Stop the attacks on LGBTQ+ young people in South Carolina – and reject the so-called “Parental Bills of Rights” bills.
