TAKE ACTION: Tell Berkeley to Support Middle Housing
.png)
For too long, exclusionary zoning laws have blocked middle-income families, essential workers, and longtime residents from finding homes in Berkeley. The city’s proposed Middle Housing Ordinance is a rare chance to fix that, but the current draft doesn’t go far enough.
We’re calling on City Council to strengthen this ordinance so it truly reflects Berkeley’s values of inclusion, sustainability, and justice. That means legalizing mid-sized homes like fourplexes in every neighborhood -- not just some -- and finally ending the harmful zoning rules that have divided our city for decades.
Sign on to our letter and help us show Berkeley leaders that the time for bold, equitable housing reform is now!
