Take Action: Tell Your Representative to Oppose the Gray Wolf Delisting Rider
A dangerous provision in the FY27 House Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill threatens federal protections for gray wolves.
Section 125 would require the Secretary of the Interior to reissue the 2020 rule removing gray wolves from federal Endangered Species Act protections. It would also prohibit judicial review, preventing the public, scientists, Tribes, and conservation organizations from challenging the decision in court.
If enacted, this rider could strip federal protections from gray wolves across much of the United States, opening the door to expanded hunting, trapping, and lethal management in states with histories of extreme wolf killing policies.
Wildlife policy should be guided by science, ecological recovery, and coexistence — not political riders hidden inside spending bills.
Send a message to your U.S. Representative urging them to oppose Section 125 and any gray wolf delisting rider in the FY27 Interior Appropriations bill.
