Tax Big Business to Fund Housing, Shelter and Services

The Seattle City Council will soon start considering an “Employee Hours Tax” on large businesses (like Amazon!) to fund new deeply affordable housing, shelter, and services. Elected officials are getting immense pressure from big business groups like the Chamber of Commerce to drop or water down this legislation.

We need to let them know that they have our strong support – and that we are watching and expect them to follow through. Please take a moment to send an email to the nine city councilmembers and Mayor Durkan.
