On Monday, March 10^th, the Senate will vote to confirm Lori Chavez-DeRemer as Secretary of Labor. Raised in a Teamster family, Rep. Chavez-DeRemer has been a champion for the American worker. During her time in Congress, she stood up for UPS workers’ right to strike, she worked to protect the right to organize, raise working standards, and fought to keep jobs from being shipped overseas.

Nearly all Senate Republicans have indicated that they will support this nomination. However, despite her strong labor record and overwhelming public support from working people and the Labor community, we expect significant opposition from Senate Democrats.
