On Thursday, April 2, Blue Bottle illegally and unjustly fired Cam Castillo, a member of our East Bay local's executive board. Blue Bottle claims that Cam was fired because he was "3 minutes late to his 5:00am shift" but we know that his termination is clearly targeted and a disgusting act of union busting!

Cam's is one of the most skilled baristas in the Bay Area, an experienced shift lead, and a valuable member of our community. He is loved by teammates and customers alike. He has been with Blue Bottle for over four years without an previous disciplinary history.

On Monday, April 6, members of our East Bay local marched on the boss to demand that Cam be reinstated by the end of the day this Friday, April 10, or our union will take further action.

As our union organizes to win livable wages, protection from customer harassment, and a democratic workplace, we cannot accept any attack's on our right to organize. Show your solidarity by writing to Blue Bottle's leadership team to let them know that you will be boycotting until Blue Bottle reinstates all fired organizers or finalizes a contract with our union.
