Tell Carranza And De Blasio to Say NO! To Admissions Screens This Year
In a 2019 op-ed Mayor De Blasio wrote, “We came into office determined to end the notion of so-called ‘good schools’ and ‘bad schools.’ We set out to ensure that every student has a school where they can thrive,” and he directed Chancellor Carranza to “infuse every aspect of our schools with the mission of equity.” Now it's time to make sure he keeps this promise and eliminates admissions screens for middle and high schools for the 2020-2021 school year.
