Tell City Council to do Right by Glenwood

Greensboro's City Council has a choice. They can award a $1.4 million building in Glenwood donated to the city by a church (sold for $30k), to a project that will build 40-45 units of affordable housing for seniors at $320-$960 per month, and a community center that offers summer camp, after school programs and tutoring for neighborhood kids. The property was donated to help with affordable housing.
Or they can give $1.4 million in public property to developers who want to build an event center that charges $2,500 per event, and rent 14 units at $1100-$1400 (IF funding sources require them to-- and "if feasible"-- otherwise it's market rate. They also said they aren't building affordable housing, because it's not their business model).
57 Glenwood neighbors came out to a meeting a couple weeks ago, and 120+ emailed them, making it clear that we want them to award this to Glenwood Together and Affordable Housing Management Inc. The pastor of the church that gave them the building wrote a letter in support.
