Tell City Council to Fund Shelter, Not Sweeps!

Seattle desperately needs more shelter and supportive services to address our homelessness crisis. In spite of this, in order to back fill potential funding cuts to supportive housing due to the Trump administration, the Seattle City Council chose to cut funding for shelter expansion. While back filling federal funding was necessary, they cut shelter funding while continuing to invest $30 million per year in inhumane and useless encampment sweeps. Tell city council they must right this wrong. Restore funding for shelter expansion by lifting the proviso on the Unified Care Team (aka the sweep team) and use some of their funding to actually get people off of the streets, rather than just moving them around.
