Tell Congress End Big Tech Tax Breaks

Meta, Amazon, Alphabet, and Tesla avoided a combined $51 billion in federal income taxes last year, following passage of Trump’s corporate tax law.

These are among the most profitable companies in the world. They report billions in earnings to shareholders. They reward executives with massive stock-based compensation. They conduct buybacks that enrich investors. Yet their federal tax payments often fall far below what the public assumes companies of this size contribute.

The corporate tax code contains a web of special provisions that large multinational firms can use to shrink their tax bills. Expanded depreciation rules, generous deductions for stock options, and international tax preferences all reduce liability. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act made many of those corporate tax advantages even worse.

The result is predictable. Billionaire wealth has surged to more than $8 trillion since the 2017 Trump tax law. Corporate profits remain high. Congress continues to debate cuts to public programs while defending corporate tax breaks.

Ending these giveaways would free up revenue for investments in health care, infrastructure, public education, disaster recovery, and economic security. It would level the playing field for smaller businesses that do not have access to aggressive tax planning.

The House and Senate have the power to close these loopholes and restore fairness to the corporate tax system.

Tell Congress to end tax breaks for big corporations and close the loopholes that let profitable companies avoid billions in federal taxes.
